Trust is only valuable when it’s in action. Theoretical trust – what does that even mean?
One of my favorite ways of practicing trust in action is with a subito fortissimo. Because the truth is that if you don’t trust the choir around you, you are going to sing mezzo forte until you see what they do.
Of course, singing accurate dynamics in the context of a piece is a great way to build trust, but even in vocal warmups, there are opportunities to develop trust with actions. It doesn’t have to be just through team building games.
