I’m an avid reader, and one of my favorite experiences is when you get to the “No Turning Back” point of a good novel. The moment when, regardless of the time of day or night, you’re digging in and finishing.
Music has the same ability to take us on a journey away from ourselves. The best concerts are the ones where we can leave behind all our cares and worries, and give over completely to the artistic journey we’re experiencing.
And just like a novel, these “No Turning Back” moments don’t just happen in concerts – we must carefully craft them through story, musicality, programming, and all the other little details that make the experience compelling.
