The best part of speaking a new language is that you get to see in a new way.
When you learn to play guitar, you see harmony in a different way than when you play piano. Switch from soprano to alto, and you learn to understand how the parts fit together, and are more conscious of how the music works. Learning a new programming language allows you to see new and different ways to solve problems.
When you start to laugh at jokes in another language, you’ve started to be able to see connections that don’t exist in your native language.
Learning another language widens the world you can see. That is unequivocally good for everything you subsequently create.
