It’s the start of the new school year, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t things left to wrap up from last year.
I’ve written before about “May”–the beautiful, haunting piece Michael McGlynn wrote for my choir on commission. Now I’m pleased to share that it is in print, awaiting TTBB choirs across the world. Click here to order it from Michael.
It’s a particular kind of joy to shepherd a new piece into existence, and it’s another joy altogether to go beyond the premiere and see choirs everywhere take on a piece you helped create.
This is a lovely, lovely piece of music that should be sung far and wide – from high school through professional choirs. (Cantus, looking at you…)
Here is our performance at the World Premiere; I have a great studio performance awaiting mixing for the next Rockford Aces CD!
