If you want to get better at something, keep doing it.
Slow down – it’s hard to do something well and quickly at first.
When you’re embarrassed, or frustrated, with your artistic output, I take that as a sign that you have standards, and want to reach them. Then the only solution is to keep trying.
Because I can promise you this: you’ll never get better at the art you quit practicing.
You won’t be good right away when you practice, either. But you’ll get better with time, and you have your desire to get better as a motivation.
If you don’t want to get better, that’s fine too! Some people never get good at drawing because they never practice; others never get good at drawing because they’d rather practice violin. That’s fine. Practice what you want to get better at.
