Introducing My Patreon

I’ve been creating music as a career for a long time – my first paid commission came about 20 years ago, and my work is now fairly evenly divided between teaching/conducting and writing for choral ensembles.

While virtually all of my work over the last 10+ years has been on commission, I have sought more opportunities to explore and develop my own craft as a composer and arranger, beyond the works I’m commissioned to write.

I’m also interested in bolstering the community I’ve developed over the last 6 1/2 years of daily writing on my website and in my work in choral communities.

Because of that, I’ve joined Patreon as a creator. Becoming a patron on my page means you’ll be supporting me in my composition and arranging, be able to watch and offer feedback as I create, and participate in the composition process at far less of an investment than a traditional commission. Together, we’ll be creating both original compositions and new vocal jazz arrangements with a focus on the rich and expanding list of great American standards in the public domain. My plan is to create one new project each month, starting in March!

Please take a minute to click over and read more about this and consider joining at any level. I’m excited for this new experiment and hope you come along for the ride. Your support will enable me to create new music and bring it to the world.
