See In The Heights on the biggest, most immersive screen you feel safe seeing it on.
I’ll admit to being puzzled when, in the summer of 2020, the filmmakers indefinitely postponed the release of Lin-Manuel Miranda’s In The Heights at around the same time as they announced they’d be bringing Hamilton to Disney+ well ahead of schedule.
Now I know. In The Heights was made to be seen on the big screen. It is a miracle.
Watch it in a movie theatre if you’re vaccinated and feel safe going. Otherwise, watch it on the biggest TV you can find via HBO Max. But whatever you do: watch it. I laughed, I wept, I was lifted straight out of my chair. It is a miracle. I can’t imagine a better first-movie-back-after-a-pandemic than In The Heights.
