Four Steps of Informed Humanity

Diane Wolk-Rogers is a stellar educator and speaker who has almost unwittingly influenced the trajectory of the American conversation in 2018. Her entire recent TED Talk is well worth watching, but I want to focus on this statement from early in the speech:

“There’s a method to being an engaged student, teacher, citizen.

Listen, be vulnerable, do your homework, and share what you’ve learned. It’s a powerful recommendation for our students, but just as much for ourselves as educators, neighbors, colleagues, and friends. Leaders must be willing to do all four steps, and we all need to step more into leadership roles in our society.

Which of the four steps is the biggest challenge for you?
