A creative workflow habit doesn’t happen overnight, but it’s essential that it does happen.
I know what software I’m using for my creative work, and how to use it efficiently with shortcuts and templates. I have a familiar workflow. I have template pages I use for planning my arrangements or compositions, and I have of course familiar thought patterns and writing approaches in my workflow as well.
Just as important, the very room I write in is its own workflow. When I’m here, I do creative work. Having that workflow ingrained in me helps me get into the right headspace when I find time to work.
Practice repeating the same patterns again and again, in the hope that you create a functional workflow that can support you in your creative work.
