Every day is easier than three times a week. Than once a week.
If you’re forming or maintaining a habit, it’s so helpful to adopt the mindset that you do it every day. I find it really difficult to maintain habits that are inconsistent–MWF habits or every-other-day habits.
But if I do it every day, it becomes easier. I wake knowing that at some point, I’m going to complete this task.
Every day.
Practice piano every day. Write every day. Sweep the floor every day, meditate every day, write a note to your kid every day.
It might seem like more work than a less frequent habit, but it’s not: it takes out the mental energy of deciding, which makes it feel easier.
It’s easier every day.
