Brace

You don’t have to play tug-of-war for very long to know to brace yourself as the referee counts down. If you don’t, you’ll find yourself flying forward pretty soon after.

As your approaching a pretty busy week, particularly one that comes after a quiet week, you need to adopt the same bracing to avoid whiplash.

And yet, I think a lot of students don’t anticipate and brace themselves to begin a busy week. So it’s worthwhile to make audible to your students what seems obvious to you.

Brace Yourself. Dig in now, so you won’t suffer later. Sleep, prepare, and more.

The busy weeks are the ones you’ll remember for years; but the more braced you are at the start, the more likely you are to remember them for the right reasons.
