I recently started building a Patreon community around new original compositions and vocal arrangements. I am loving the motivation it gives me to experiment and create new music with supporters behind me.
Just yesterday, I shared the first fruit of my Patreon project, a set of Six Nonsense Canons – based on poems from Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear, Edna St. Vincent Millay, and Gelett Burgess, as well as the tongue twister “Peter Piper.” Along the way, I also recorded and mixed quick demo recordings of the pieces. And since they’re kind of a perfect fit for April Fool’s Day, I’m excited to share them here. I hope after listening to them, you consider joining me on Patreon. This month, I’ll be completing a much less-silly SATB arrangement of the Irving Berlin standard “What’ll I Do?” – and Patreon supporters get free permission to copy and perform the pieces I create there for a year after creation.
