We Want You To Ask

There’s a certain variety of student who aspires for things but doesn’t want to bother anyone.

If they want to audition but the slots on the signup are full, they won’t audition. If they get sick the day of auditions, they will shrug their shoulders and say, “Oh, well.”

Newsflash: we want you to ask. Ask for help, ask for an extra time slot, ask for a an accommodation.

Why?

  • We want you to be in the right ensemble and have the right opportunities.
  • We want to have the best version of our audition results (and that may or may not include you).

Most important,

  • We want you to start advocating for yourself, rather than letting your life be decided for you.

I’m not promising that we can help with every request. I’m not promising that you’ll get everything you audition for. Accommodating your need is not a show of favoritism – it is a show of flexibility that we strive to give to all our students, whom we love.

Advocate for yourself. When you see an obstacle, try to overcome it, and ask for help.

We want you to ask!
