This is what I wish for my students more than anything. Every year as May turns to June, we all say farewell to another class of students, hoping that they will continue to grow and come alive.
As a teacher, I try to help my students come alive; I trust that if it’s not in my tutelage that they come alive, they will at least learn how to look for it. If it’s music that makes you come alive, be sure you keep doing it. Whether professionally or in your free time – keep doing what makes you come alive.
We all need it.
