The great part about creating a physical object is that you can hold something and say, “I made this.”
That’s the main reason why I still make physical CDs, rather than digital downloads.
Someday my students will be able to say to their children, I made this. You can’t do that with an MP3.
I spent hours upon hours arranging, rehearsing, producing, recording, mixing, art designing, and more for the latest Rockford Aces CD. It will come out on June 2, but I received them in the mail today.
Holding a physical copy of “Get Ready!” by The Rockford Aces made all of those hours feel worthwhile.
They make invisible work into something visible.
