Saying The Right Thing

Three times this week, I’ve had people reach out to me and say, “you wrote just what I needed to hear today.”

As an introvert, it takes courage every day to click publish and send my words into the world. One reason I do it is because occasionally I say the right thing for the right person.

If this daily writing journey has taught me anything, it is that I never know when I’m going to reach someone. I don’t know which things I say are going to be particularly powerful or popular.

That doesn’t make me want to stop. It makes me want to write more, because I want to write what people need to hear. I love that I spend my time making the world even a tiny bit more uplifting. I love that my writing helps strengthen my professional community.

I think it’s important to remember that we all have valuable things in our heads worth saying. Share your insights. Share your knowledge and discoveries. Once in a while, you’ll write exactly what I need to hear.

Please, join me. You.
