It’s your last day of school before a well-deserved break.
I’m taking a few minutes to reflect, as I often do at mile-markers like this one.
- What have we done well so far?
- What will we want to refocus on when we get back to rehearsal?
- What do I love about my job?
- What would I change about my job?
Above all, I remind myself to be grateful that every day I get to influence young musicians and guide them towards making better music.
Have a wonderful winter break – you have earned it. Recharge, recenter, and relax.
(And a hefty sorry to those teachers who have two days of school next week…)
