Programming Ideas: #AliceIs90

As part of Programming Week, today I suggest you take part in the Alice Is 90 celebration during the 2015-16 season.Melodious Accord, the nonprofit organization led by Alice Parker, is promoting the 2015-16 concert season as one to celebrate. On December 16, Alice will celebrate her 90th birthday. She is still writing, teaching, and leading group sings; this year, they are urging you to program a piece of hers and participate in the #AliceIs90 Project.

Here are a few programming ideas that will be successful with your students; you should definitely to include one of Parker’s works in your program this year, either these or one of her many other published works. Melodious Accord now provides a complete database of Parker’s works, both published and manuscript.
