I’m Not Busy

I have a job I love with work to keep me occupied every available moment.

I’m not busy.

I have three amazing, brilliant, demanding sons and the best wife.

I’m not busy.

I have projects I don’t quite have time for, that I’m necessarily ignoring until I can give them proper attention.

I’m not busy.

Busy means unavailable for the important things. Busy means I can’t come to a family event. Busy means, “don’t talk to me right now.” Busy means worker bees.

I love what I do. My mind, body, and soul are engaged. I give as much of myself as I can, every day.

But I’m not too busy to sit and listen and talk. I’m not too busy for my family. I’m not too busy for you.

I’m not busy.
