Elementary Voice Lessons

The best voice lessons for elementary students go by a different name.

Piano lessons.

If your kid loves to sing, let them sing. Find a youth choir to join. They will eat it up.

The best one-on-one musical education she or he can get is in musicianship. Learn to read music, interpret symbols, and create a musical phrase. Learn how to practice.

All of these are better learned through piano than anything else.

All of these skills will make voice lessons that much more effective when your child does start at 14 or 16. You’ll watch their skill level explode thanks to the foundation of musicality built from years of piano study.

Find an upright on Craigslist, invest in keeping it tuned. Find a good teacher, and make sure your child practices.

Wait on the voice lessons. Don’t hesitate on the piano.
