It’s harder to find choral fireworks.
Ours is a subtle art. Even the most energized, excited, in-your-face music can’t touch a concert band at mezzo-forte.
Choral fireworks are a different. Let’s stop seeking the kinds of musical fireworks that instruments can achieve with such ease, and instead focus on our own choral fireworks.
Phrasing, emotional honesty, intonation. These are some of the fireworks that choral music has in spades. Not to mention the most affecting musical firework of all, available to only choirs.
